MODEL: TP-DCDC-2456GD-VHP
The TP-DCDC-2456GD-VHP is a powerful DC to DC converter and PoE inserter, specifically engineered for use with Axis outdoor PTZ security cameras and Cisco’s UPOE standards. This highly efficient device delivers 35W per PoE channel, enabling a total power output of 70W when both channels are used simultaneously.
The TP-DCDC-2456GD-VHP distributes power via separate PoE channels—with one using pins 4, 5, 7, 8 and the other utilizing pins 1, 2, 3, 6. This division allows the converter to supply more power efficiently to the connected devices. For easy monitoring, it features separate LED indicators: the RIGHT LED represents PoE Channel 1, and the LEFT LED represents PoE Channel 2.
The unit has been qualified by Axis for use with a variety of PTZ camera models, ensuring reliable compatibility. It is also designed to work with any 802.3at device, supplying 35W to any detected 802.3at PoE channel. When both channels are detected, the TP-DCDC-2456GD-VHP automatically provides a total of 70W to the device.
Additionally, the unit includes dual terminals for power input: two common (-) and two (+) connectors, enabling users to connect primary and backup power sources for added reliability. Surge, short circuit, and overload protections safeguard the system from electrical faults. Furthermore, the isolated input and output ensure enhanced operational safety and prevent interference between the connected devices.
